Sweet trachanas is an authentic Greek dry pasta made with wheat, eggs and milk. It's called "sweet" even though it doesn't contain sugar, to distinguish it from the other trachana, the "sour" one. Sweet Trachanas are made in Tripoli, Pelopponese, and are prepared according to a traditional recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation since 1967. Trachanas or Trahanas is cooked as a thick soup. To cook, add salt and butter to boiling water or milk, add pasta, stir occasionally and cook for 20 minutes. Serve with feta cheese on top for a delicious meal.
